Born June 4, 1918, in Indianola, Iowa, June moved to Milo at age 7 returning to Indianola at age 17. She was a cashier with Hy-Vee Food Store in Indianola for 28 years.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Dennis) Johnson and Diana (Ray Gene) Harwood all of Des Moines; 4 grandchildren, Kirk (Jean Ann) Green, Kelly (Roy) Kokemuller and Heather (Marshall) Laire all of Des Moines and Richard (Penny) Harwood of Carlisle; 2 step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; special friend, Lou Ann Gorshe; 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Evelyn Labertew and Ralph Demory both of Indianola, and Fern Stone and Glen Demory both of Arizona; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a step grandson, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The family requests memorials be made to Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
