A Celebration of Life Service for Judy Ann Smith, 76, of Indianola, Iowa, who died peacefully on December 20, 2022 at the Taylor House in Des Moines, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  The family will greet friends prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m.  Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Judy was born in Booneville, Missouri, on April 5, 1946. She was adopted by Clarence and Pauline Cronmiller of Kansas City, Kansas —where she grew up. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1964 and went to work for Southwestern Bell telephone company.

Judy didn't have many hobbies herself, but always invested her time and love into what other people found happiness with. She was such a caring and giving person and no one ever had a bad word to say about her.

Her pride and joy were her two boys, Mickey King of Kansas City, MO, Russell (Amanda King) of Indianola, Iowa; her grandchildren, Daniel Williams of Seattle, WA, and Noah King & Henry King of Indianola, Iowa.

Judy was proceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Smith, of Independence, MO, her parents, Clarence and Pauline Cronmiller, two sisters, Renee Cronmiller and Denise Cronmiller, and a grandson, Samuel King.

Judy believed in her Lord and Savior,  Jesus Christ, and believed in the resurrection of the Saints. She will be loved and missed by so many, but we know we will see her again.

Memorials may be given to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
