Judy grew up in Indianola and married Matthew Glen Lane Jr. on November 7, 1967. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Heather, and a son, Matthew III. She sold Home Interiors for fifteen years and worked many other jobs throughout her life. Judy was a true giver. Although she was an avid mushroom hunter, she also enjoyed garage sales, fishing, cooking, making friends, praising the Lord, and sharing activities and time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her mother, Virginia Butler of Indianola, daughter Heather and husband Jason Thomas of Indianola, son Matt and wife Jennifer Lane of Milo; grandchildren Breanna Lane-Johnson, Cameron Hertzler, Graham and Avabelle Thomas, Hunter, Luke, and Chloe Lane; sister Edena and husband Mike White, brothers Eddie and wife Derry Butler, and Paul Butler Sr.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed.

A celebration of life and memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Indianola Community Church. Per Judy's request, her remains will be cremated and her ashes scattered at a later date in a private ceremony. Memorial gifts may be made to Judy's family in her honor.
