A Funeral Mass for Joseph Laurence Devore who became an angel in heaven on August 5, 2006, will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement rural Cumming. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Joseph was born May 19, 2006, he touched many lives in his short time and is survived by his loving mother and father, Jan and Travis Devore; brothers Nicholas, Jonathan and sister Elizabeth Devore; grandparents, Jon and Jo Ann Wiegert of Prole, Dallas and Martha Bosomworth of Adel, Jim and Kathy Mallison of Hot Springs, AK, Gene and Vana Devore of Clive; great-grandparents, Al and Shirley Faber of Johnston and Laurence Wiegert of Martensdale and the late Francis and Margaret Dooley. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
