Funeral services for Jose Luis Gomez Jr, 36, of Indianola, who passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA with burial following in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services from 9 to 11 a.m.

Jose is survived by his daughters, Aryanna, Destiny, Lilyanna, and Aryella; parents, Jose and Lisa Gomez; siblings, Miranda Rodriguez, Vinny (Amanda) Gomez, and Mali (Aidan) Gomez; nieces and nephews, Arseydia, Audelina, Vivianah, and Daniel Rodriguez, and Markee, Letty, and Norie Gomez; grandparents, Linda and Joe Luna; and many aunts, uncles and other family. He is preceded in death by his sister, Makenna Gomez; grandparents, Juan and Elena Gomez; aunt, Juanita Gomez; God father, Charlie Luna.

Jose was a father to 4 daughters who he loved more than anything and he cherished the moments he got with his girls. Jose loved spending his time with family outdoors especially, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes. He went to Lincoln High School, where he played football. He had a true passion for the sport, which grew his love for his favorite team the Raiders. He had the biggest heart and will truly be missed.
