Services for John J. Simmons, 30, who died Monday, April 24, 2006 in Iowa City, will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Hammondsburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home where family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. He is survived by his sons, John Jr. and Christian Simmons of Pocahontas; parents, Freddy and Evelyne Simmons of Indianola; brothers, Sam Simmons of Des Moines and Ed and Danny of Sioux City; sisters, Anita Kraack of Attica and Brenda of Sioux City.  Memorials may be directed to the family in his name.
