John Samson, 75, of Indianola, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at home. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.

John was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute. He and his wife enjoyed camping, often times spending summers in camp grounds and commuting to work from wherever they were staying, their dog was almost always with them. You could always find him on Sunday watching football in the fall. John was gifted with his hands, he loved working on cars and occasionally helping put shingles on a roof. He loved to take the time to sit in quiet and listen to music next to a fire. In John's later years, you could find him helping his family and friends with their tasks.

He is survived by his sister; brothers-in-law; a daughter; a step-son; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie; parents, Frederick Samson and Audrey Hart; sisters, Phyllis Marie King, Nancy Marlene Schippers.
