Funeral services for John W. Newell, son of John F. and Alice Joyce (Lang) Newell, who passed away on May 13, 2017 in Arizona, will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 24 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Avon Cemetery, Avon, IA. Visitation will precede services from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

John was born in Goose Creek, TX, on July 14, 1944. He leaves behind two daughters, Wendy Newell and Barbie (Josh) Frankhouser; two sisters, Sandy (Jim) Watkins and Virginia Lusch; along with his beloved friend Bev, and many extended family and friends.
