IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Charles
Morris
May 10, 1968 – April 27, 2019
JOHN MORRIS
It is with a heavy heart that the family of John Charles Morris announce his sudden passing. Services for John Morris, 50, of rural Polk County, IA, who passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 3, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA with visitation to be held prior to services from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow services in the Norwood Cemetery, Lucas, IA.
John was a devoted father and loving husband. He will forever be remembered as a wild card. His family was one thing he was proud of and most protective of. Being the oldest growing up, he always protected his younger siblings. While he may have had a serious look on his face he was always the first one to make you laugh.
John had a strong faith and was very passionate about the Lord's word. He was involved in his church and loved his country. John's hobbies include fishing, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; sons, John Morris II and Elijah Danielson; parents, Rosalie Adamson and John (Debra) Morris; siblings, Angelica (Mark) Calkins, Kristi (Chad Deevers) Smith, Jamie (John Tuttle) Smith, Ronnie (Amanda) Hammond and Angie (Mike) Greenman; and mother-in-law, Winona Crawford. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Virginia Morris and Frank and Mary Adamson, father-in-law John Crawford.
Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
