Services for John E. Miller, 77, who died Friday, August 30, 2013 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines. John worked ten years for Iowa Paint and twenty-two years for Griffin Pipe located in Council Bluffs and New Jersey. He also was a tax preparer for Mr. Tax in Des Moines. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Donna; three children, Phillip Miller of New Jersey, Elizabeth Rahn of West Des Moines and Andrew Miller of Des Moines; grandsons, Aaron and Alex; and brothers, Bill and Donald Miller. Visitation will be held 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 2 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m..
