JOHN S. HARRISON Funeral services for John S. Harrison, 98, formerly of Indianola, who passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, will be held 7 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation will be held prior to services starting at 5:30 p.m. BECAUSE OF WEATHER THE Burial will take place 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 5 in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. John worked for the City of Indianola as superintendent of the Indianola Municipal Utilities retiring after 42 years in 1983. He and Colleen moved to Ralston, Nebraska in 1997. John is survived by his daughter, Vicki Fox; grandchildren, Lori Fox, John Fox and Bob Whittenbaugh; and great-granddaughter, Sohpia Fox. He was preceded in death by his wife Colleen and daughter Joyce Whittenbaugh. Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
