A Mass of Christian burial for John M. Cassady, 66, who died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at home, will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 22 at Assumption Parish, Churchville, IA with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, Churchville.

John was born the son of John V. and Agnes (Miller) Cassady on November 6, 1943. He graduated from Martensdale- St. Marys High School in 1962 and was united in marriage to Jane Galligan on June 21, 1969. They made their home in rural Madison County where he enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandsons.

John is survived by his loving wife Jane; sons, Joseph (Bev), John W., Daniel (Emily), Michael; his grandsons, Cole, Cael, Tyler, Cody, Johnnie, and Conor; brothers James (Sharon), Thomas (Jan), Robert and sister Diane (Tom) McCauley.

Visitation will be held 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday February 21 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with family present. A Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mass intentions may be given to the church.
