JOAN KAY MILLER
Joan Kay (Knights) Miller of Indianola, IA, who died February 28, 2018, was born January 1, 1943 to Frank Gilbert Knights and Helen Doreen (Koehler) Knights in Marshall County, IA, where she attended Green Mountain School and graduated from Beaman Conrad High School with the class of '60. She was an alumni of Evangelical Deaconess Hospital Nursing School in Marshalltown, IA. In June 1963, she married Stephen Douglas Miller of Marshalltown. While Joni enjoyed many different career opportunities throughout her professional working years, and gave lovingly of herself to her church and community, her greatest joy in life was her beloved family.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Miller; two sisters, Marlys (Dwayne) Garber of Conrad, IA, Cathy (Steve) Harmon of Mannford, OK; children, Denette (Kurt) Lickiss of Indianola, Jeff (Jennifer) Miller of Grimes, IA, Deb (Ron) Paskorz of Indianola, James (Razan) Miller of Gilbert, AZ; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
