JIMMY TROY SMITH
Graveside services for Jimmy Troy Smith, 77, who passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at home in Des Moines, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, IA.
Jimmy was born March 17, 1939 to Jesse and Alma (Williams) Smith in Buffalo, Missouri. He graduated from Osceola High School in Osceola, Iowa and had worked at the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio retiring after 30 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching auto racing. He loved to gamble and won a Chevy pickup at Lakeside Casino in Osceola.
Survivors include children, Jesse (Kim) Smith and Rhonda (Shane Quimby) Bustamante; sister, Sue Hoyt; grandchildren, Noah (Aimee) Frost, Chandra Foremen, Felcia (Kyle) Semmler, Kayla (A.J.) Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Devon Frost, Peyton Foremen, Skyla Fitzgerald, and Lilly Foremen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Alma Smith; brothers, Harold, Donald and Billy Smith; and sister, Norma Smith.Services
