JIM W. BROWN Prole Services for Jim W. Brown, 77, who died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 21 at the Linn Grove United Methodist Church, rural Norwalk with burial following in the Linn Grove Cemetery. Jim enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and belonged to the East Gate Masonic Lodge and Za-Ga-Zig Shriners. Survivors include his wife, Melvina of Prole; daughter, Debbie (John) Hutchison of Martensdale; granddaughter, Emily Hutchison; brothers, Calvin (Donna) Brown, John (Joan) Brown, Dick Brown, Jack (Carolyn) Brown and Bob (Joyce) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Vess and Edna Brown; sisters, Dorothy Dimmitt and Lucille Spanel; and brother, Melvin Brown. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 20 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Linn Grove United Methodist Church.
