Graveside services for Jimmie D. Frist, 85, of Runnells, Iowa, who passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 in Des Moines, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 9, in the Lowman Cemetery, Runnells.

Jimmie grew up in Runnells and moved to Indianola, where he raised his family, before moving back to Runnells. He was an electrician for 40 years and a member of the IBEW Local 347, earning their 60 yr service medal. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, baseball, reading western novels and playing cards with his friends.

Jimmie is survived by his children, Steven (Audrey) Frist, Julie (Don) Seiwert, and Diane (Jeff) Hemann; grandchildren, Allison (Lin) Chen, Phillip (Lucy) Seiwert, Collin (Hanna) Hemann, Alec (Ellie) Hemann, Jacob Frist, Gabriel Frist, and Noah Frist; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Chen and Henry Chen.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marva, and his son, Terry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kiya Koda Humane Society in Indianola in his name.
