Jillinda Lee Thomsen, 68, of Indianola, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Oakland Cemetery, Wingate, Indiana.

Jillinda was born in Lebanon, Indiana. She found comfort in the bible, Methodist faith and her calling as a Registered Nurse, working for 35 years in the Des Moines area. The greatest joys in her life were her children.

Jillinda is survived by her children, Mary Mae Thomsen, John Michael Thomsen, Samuel William Thomsen; grandchildren, John Thomsen Jr., Charlee Thomsen, Hazel Thomsen, Harper Thomsen; siblings, William Henry Dazey Jr. (Patti), Joan Joyce Dazey; aunts, uncles and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Larry Wayne Thomsen; parents, William and Joyce Dazey.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center in Jillinda’s memory for helping to make their families Thanksgivings a blessing year after year.
