Jerry Wayne Keisel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 12, at home, with family around him. There will be no services at this time. Inurnment will take place with graveside services held in the Spring at the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Jerry was born March 14, 1948, to Fred and Lois Keisel of Indianola. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1966, attended Central Missouri State University for two years and then graduated from Simpson College in 1974. His years of work were in the sales world. Working for different companies over the years he moved around Iowa, first Bettendorf and then Ames.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shelia, who was part of his life for 61 years; three children, Todd, Brett (Heidi) and Jeffery; granddaughters, London and Edyn Keisel; grandson, Leighton Keisel. He loved them all dearly. Also, several cousins, nieces and their families rounded out his family. Friends from childhood to his last days became the extended family he didn't have otherwise.

Favorite pastimes included visiting as many A, AA, AAA baseball stadiums or visiting a local Friday night football game as he traveled between here and his favorite place Satellite Beach Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws and one infant son, Todd Gregory.
