Services for Jerry F. Hypes, Sr., of Des Moines who died Friday, December 25, 2009 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Decmeber 29, 2009 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial will follow I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharron; daughters, Gerrilyn (Mark) Lane of Indianola, Deanna (Brian) Wheeler of Waterloo; son, Jerry (Ann) Hypes Jr. of Des Moines; four grandchildren; Austin Lane, Dustyn, Taylor and Hannah Wheeler; brother Randy Hypes of Indianola; and sister Sue Douglas of New Virginia.  He was proceded in death by his parents and brother, Dave.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2009, from 4 – 8 p.m. with family present from 6 – 8 p.m. to greet friends at Overton Funeral Home.
