JERRY FERRIS

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Jerry Dean Ferris, 77, of Indianola, who passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Des Moines, will be held 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, February 17, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.

Jerry Dean Ferris, originally from Iowa retired at the age of 55 from Local # 45 Iowa Sheet Metal Workers and moved to Three Rivers, Texas and spent 20 years doing what he loved, fishing, hunting, working on cars and chewing his snuff.  Due to his health, he moved back to Iowa and resided with his daughter Shelly and her husband Bobby.  Jerry will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include his daughters, Sherrie King-Ferris, Shelly Funderburk (Robert) Steingrabe, Wendy (Mark Gebauer) Ferris and Tracy McChesnese; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam and Eddie Ferris.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jaci; mother, Dora Sullivan, father, Sam Ferris and brother Albert Lee Ferris.
