JERRY PAUL ADAMS Des Moines Jerry Paul Adams, 74, of Des Moines, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 8 at Overton Funeral Home. Burial, with military rites, will follow in the Linn Grove Cemetery in Prole, Iowa. Jerry was born in Martensdale, Iowa, March 24, 1937 to Frank and Helen Adams where he lived the majority of his life. He owned and operated Adams Brothers Skelly Gas Station with his brothers for 25 years. He also owned J&J Sweet shop in Winterset and Golfarama in Norwalk and was a member of the Martensdale Fire Department. He was most recently employed by Advance Delivery, a job he loved and enjoyed each day. Jerry touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his sense of humor all the way to the end. Jerry is survived by his wife, Marie; daughters, Marcy, Jodi (Jeff) Nicholl and Julie (Russ) Stone; grandchildren he adored, Andrew and Sydnee Nicholl, Melissa (Jeff) Bosch, Michael (Bekka) Nicholl; two great-grandchildren, Evaline Bosch and Issiah Nicholl; and other relatives and many friends.
