JENNIFER MILLER

Jennifer Dean Adams Miller of Chariton, Red Oak, and Indianola died on September 5, 2017, at age 63, after her battle with lung cancer. The family encourages memorial donations to the John Stoddard Cancer Center.

Jennifer was an artist at heart, and no medium was safe from her hands: she could dip and sew cloth into tea towel dolls; form lye into lavender (not purple) soap bars; and turn concrete into peacocks. She loved to tell stories—often the same ones over and over. Jennifer was an avid 5-minute (was it that long?) morel mushroom hunter who eagerly claimed and ate more than her share.  We are certain she set the unofficial attendance record for aerobics class at the YMCA in Red Oak, Iowa.

Jennifer left before she had time to cross everything off of her bucket list…like getting rid of the family chin…but to the end, she could still shoot us that look, the one that told us we'd crossed "the line." Yep, she still had it.

As she requested, we'll celebrate Jennifer's life at the Kent Farm in Lucas, where together we've enjoyed God's peace, life's quiet, and family fun; if you knew Jennifer, please celebrate her life at your favorite hangout.

Jennifer and her potato salad will be remembered by friends and family, including her husband Brad Miller and Roo, their Yorkie-Heinz 57 pooch; her mother Norma Dean; children Angie (& Matt) Collinsworth and grandchildren Brooke and Hannah, Ryan (& Megan) Adams and grandchildren Brayton and Kennady, Kyle (& Jolene) Miller and grandchildren A.J. and Nichole; siblings Jim (& Bobbie) Dean, Debbie (& Dan) Kent, Tom (& Kathy) Dean, Bryan (& Maryetta) Miller, Barb (& Tim) Quam, David (& Natasha) Cooper, Carla (& Ken) Wilde; and several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.Jennifer was preceded in death by her dad Bob Dean, and a son Jeffrey Ray Adams, and Alf.
