Jay was born in Bingham Lake, MN and moved to Indianola in 1957. She worked for Laverty Sprayers and Central Construction in Indianola and retired as a secretary in the Admissions Department at Simpson College.

She is survived by her husband, Sandy of Indianola; sons, Jeff of Story City and David of Indianola; sister, Beth Swanberg of Lady Lake, Florida; and grandson, Jon Geoffrey Kragskow of Dunstable, England.

Visitation will be held 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorials may be given to Simpson College.
