Jean Lee Fight (Coffey), aka “Jeannie” went to home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, July 31, 2025. Jeannie was born July 30, 1938, to Alonzo (Lonnie) and Adene Coffey in Humeston, IA. She was welcomed home by three brothers, Maynard (MD), Robert (Bob), and Delbert (Deb). She also had a sister whom passed away shortly after birth.

Jeannie lived her childhood in Humeston and upon marrying Gerald Fight, moved to Chariton. She lived in Ames, East Des Moines, and Urbandale before relocating to San Diego. She married Paul Hamilton and they returned to Iowa and lived in Green. Upon Paul’s death, she moved to Indianola. Jeannie’s careers revolved around serving other in the Funeral Industry and retirement community of the village in Indianola.

Not only was Jeannie well accomplished in her career, but she was also highly respected for her work ethic, integrity, and loyalty. She was an extremely loving wife, mother and friend to many. She loved deeply and with overwhelming empathy. Hence her passion for working in the service industry and serving other in need during difficult circumstances.

Her solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ and who he was and what he did on the cross is what made Jeannie who she was. She lived her faith in all she did and was the driving factor in loving others like Christ loves.

Jeannie is survived by her children, Jeffrey Randall, Jana Renee (Bill) Krempasky; nieces, Lynn (Pat) McConnell and Beth Mealey; as well as many great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, August 29 in the Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, IA.

Memorials can be made in memory of Jeannie to Good Shepherd Fund at The Village in Indianola.
