A Funeral Mass for Jaonne Marie Buckingham, 72, of Indianola, Iowa, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola. Burial will follow services in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jaonne was born July 26, 1953 to Jack E. and Mary Elizabeth (Meusburger) Crise in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Des Moines, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. With the urging of her mother, she married Roger Buckingham September 1, 1973. They lived in Indianola for the past 45 years. She worked for Bob Allen Co and Primary Source for the majority of her working carrier and was a eucharistic minister at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for a time, where she also led youth classes. She enjoyed listening to Roger make music and spending time with family and friends was always high on her list of favorite things to do. She died peacefully at Holland Farms March 10, 2026.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Buckingham; children, Robyn (Darran) Hurd and Bryon Buckingham; grandchildren, Nathan Hurd, Jackson Hurd, Hailey Hurd, Allyson Hurd, Blake Buckingham and Reese Buckingham; sister Jackie (Mark) Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jack Crise.

Visitation will be held prior to services from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the church. Memorials in memory of Jaonne may be given to The Homestead at Holland Farms in Norwalk.
