Janis Wilson, 76, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, February 17th, 2025.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Inurnment of cremains will be in the Wallace Cemetery, Wick, Iowa.

For many years Janis owned and operated a daycare which most of her grandchildren and a Great Grandchild had the pleasure of attending. She loved sewing, quilting and woodcarving with husband Jerry. After retirement she filled her days with art, craft, friends and family.  A loving caring woman who will truly be missed.

Jan is survived by her daughters, Sheri (Terry) Ober and Sandi (Dan) Mouzakis; sister, Judy Martin; sister-in-law, Bev (Pat) Wilson; brother-in-law, Denny Wilson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Dietrich, Danielle (Jon) Gilbert, Becka Ober, Dustin Ober, Chelsie Smith and Tristan Mouzakis; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Paisley, Hudson, Hunter, Madisyn and Noah; nephews, Craig (Julie) Wilson and Joshua (Natalie) Martin and great niece and nephew, Sophia and Zakariya Martin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wilson; parents, James and Jacqueline Wattenbarger; step-mother, Mary Wattenbarger; grandmother, Louise Welcher; niece, Tawnya Wilson and sister-in-law Rhonda Wilson

Memorials in memory of Janis may be given to Holland Farms Memory Care in Norwalk.
