Janice King passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by her family at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Janice was a Rural Letter carrier for USPS for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years and 5 months, Bob; their children, Diane (Cain) Kremitzki, Joanne King, Joseph King; grandchildren, Dillon (Taylor) Hernandez, Hannah (Brock VanLoon) Hernandez, Maria Hernandez, Phoebe Ver Ploeg; great-grandchildren, Ricky Hernandez. She is also survived by sister, Carol King; and in-laws, Mary Moore, Rena King, Ruth Wilson, John (Cheryl), Helen (Norm) Sabol, Tom Borchard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Johnson; sister, Peggy Borchard, brothers-in-law, Tom King, Paul King, Tom Wilson, John Moore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10, a.m., Friday, September 19, at St. Johns Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk, followed by a luncheon. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Cemetery, Cumming, Iowa. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, from 4 -7 p.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Norwalk, with a rosary following. Memorial contributions may be made in Janice's memory to St. John's Apostle Catholic Church.
