In Loving Memory of Jane Ann Rosenberger
“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.”
“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.”
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be
praised.” Proverbs 31:10, 26, 30
Jane Ann Rosenberger was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, counselor, and a voice of wisdom and great strength to all who knew her.
Jane entered this world in Cora, Missouri, on May 30, 1934. That morning, the potbelly stove was fired up to ward off the chill, but by the end of the day, the temperature had reached a record high for that date, a record that still stands today. Jane was surrounded on all sides by voracious readers, fostering in her a lifelong love of reading and knowledge, helping to develop the strong work ethic that would define her life.
Jane met and fell in love with Steve Rosenberger, and they were married on December 7, 1952. Together, they eventually settled in the beautiful community of Norwood, Iowa, where they raised their four children on a farm. In time, they established a trucking company that has continued for more than 50 years. Following Steve’s passing, Jane took the helm and continued leading the business until her retirement at the age of 82, a testament to her remarkable strength, determination, and dedication.
Jane departed this earth on October 19, escorted by her angel into the very presence of her Lord and Savior. She is now wrapped in her Father’s love, welcomed into the eternal home she so faithfully believed in.
Jane leaves behind her children, David Rosenberger, Diane (Brady) Rosenberger Fry, and Dirk (Angie) Rosenberger; daughter-in-law, Donna Rosenberger; grandchildren, Morgan and Clay Rosenberger; sister, Mary Michael; and many nieces, nephews, and a great host of friends who will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Rosenberger; her son, Dennis Rosenberger; and her parents, Clifford and Esther Fanning.
Jane’s life was a beautiful reflection of the Proverbs 31 woman, rooted in faith, rich in wisdom, steadfast in strength, and overflowing with kindness. Her legacy will live on in the family she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the countless lessons she shared. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Norwood Cemetery, West of Hwy 65 on 550th St, at Otter Creek Township in Lucas County, Iowa.
A memorial has been established in Jane’s memory at Kiya Koda Humane Society of Indianola.
