Jane Perdigon, 76, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at home. Visitation will be held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, on Saturday, February 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. with a time of Remembrance held at 3 p.m.
Jane was born on November 14, 1946. She was the third of four children of John and Doris Guyett. . Jane was born at her parent's home on a farm outside Missouri Valley. She was placed on an oven door to keep her warm. Her childhood was spent in the freedom of farm life with horses, dogs and lots of animals.
Jane attended country school, riding horses to and from, until third grade and then attended school in Missouri Valley. She married James Vallier and they had three children - Jim and twins Kerri & Kelly.
She eventually ended up in Florida working in the insurance industry where she met Lee Perdigon the love of her life.They led the party life and she was the life of the party. As one friend said, "Jane knew how to put the fun in a get-together -her laugh, her blond hair with the Jane style. She loved to be in the social circle and would always talk to anyone." They eventually moved to Iowa to be closer to family, buying ahome in rural Warren County.
Jane is survived by her husband, Lee; children, James Vallier, Kelly (Jose) Jimenez, Kerri Vallier; stepchildren, Lee Perdigon Jr., Jeanette Perdigon, Ivy Gustufson, Brook (Michael) Coor; grandchildren, Colin Sternhagen, Alec Sternhagen; step-granchildren, Logan (Abby) Perdigon, Nicole Perdigon, Jessie Crognale, Max Gustufson, Maggie Gustufson, Mallary Coor, Tanner Coor; siblings, Linda (Don Ruby) Spain, John Guyett; brother-in-law, Warren Michael; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Guyett; sister, Karen Michael; sister-in-law, Linda Guyett.
Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League in her name. The family would like to extend THANKS to the Indianola Fire and EMS for always responding with care and kindness to her many calls for help.
