Services for James M. Vinson, 87, who died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Westview Care Center in Indianola, will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 4 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola.

He is survived by his children, Dennis (Banita) Vinson of Letchworth, England, Galen (Kay) Vinson of Murrieta, CA, and Susan Vinson of Des Moines; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ida Mae Vinson; twelve siblings; and one grandson.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, April 3 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.  Memorials may be designated to Chapel of Faith Church.
