James "Jim" Rush, 61, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at home.  Private family services will be held at a later date.

Jim Rush was born in Minot, North Dakota on January 24, 1960.  He went to North Dakota State University for administration.  He moved to Wamego Kansas in 2000, where he was the Administrator at A Good Samaritan Nursing facility.  He met his wife Roxie Sylvester there, where she was a nurses aide.  They were united in marriage in 2004. They moved out of state to Colorado for his job in 2012.  Then Washington state for a few years to run a nursing home there. He battled cancer, so he and Roxie decided to move to Indianola, Iowa to be close to family.  He was loved by family and friends and will forever be missed. He was a patient and kind person and loved animals. He was a cyclist which he enjoyed very much and was very dedicated and passionate at his job.

Survivors include his wife, Roxie Sylvester; father, James Rush; sisters, Barb Rush and Nancy Rush.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rush.
