James Orval Mattocks "Jimmy", 90 years young, formerly of Momence, IL, passed away at Westview Care Center in Indianola on December 7, 2022.

James was a college graduate who worked in the social service field for many years in Illinois and Indiana.  He enjoyed classical music and the theatre arts and enjoyed being a professional pianist during his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Freda Mattocks; wife Patricia; son, David Edward; half-sister, Doris Beauman; granddaughter, Bridgette Law and his first wife Francis Mize.  He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Tom) Geelan; two nephews Shawn and Ryan Geelan; sons, Timothy and Jeremy Mattocks and daughters, Rebecca Foreman and Katie Grados; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
