JACK WILEY WILLIAMSON Indianola Jack Wiley Williamson, 66, died on Tuesday, May 15 2012 after a lengthy illness following a stroke. Jack was born on Sept. 13, 1945 in Columbia, S.C. to Audrey and Lowell Williamson and grew up in Audubon, IA. He attended elementary and high school in Audubon, and married Janet Lafoy in 1965. Jack managed grocery stores throughout the Midwest and later went into sales. He never met a stranger and missed being able to travel and interact with everyone after his retirement from Nestle Beverage in 2009. He enjoyed sports (especially the Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes), music, traveling, animals, and fun times. Jack is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jan; daughter, Angie; son, Mike (Katherine); and grandson, Drew, all of Indianola; brothers, Lynn (Ethel) Williamson of Reno, NV and Larry (Nita) Williamson of Alexandria, LA; sister-in-law, Jeri Ferguson of Des Moines; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Dennie Ferguson. Visitation will be held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola from 10 to 11am Saturday, May 19, with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Audubon, IA.
