IDA BELLE KUEHL Indianola Services for Ida Belle Kuehl, 90, of Indianola, who died with her family at her bedside, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines, will be held 10 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2011 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Indianola Cemetery. Ida was born on January 27, 1920 in Mason City, IA to Elmer and Laura Martin (Nash). She met Albert Kuehl in Mason City and they were married on October 26, 1941. They farmed in Dallas Center/Grimes until 1955 when they moved to Indianola. In 1995, Ida moved to Des Moines. Ida is survived by her daughter, Priscilla (Ronald) Kosednar of Chesterfield, MO and son, Phil (Elizabeth) Kuehl of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Julie (Kyle) Rohlk, Annette (James) Young, Phil Vanderbur and Paul Kosednar; five great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Tatum; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Albert; daughter, Patricia Vanderbur; grandson, Lon Szabo; parents; three brothers, Maris, Lyle and Elmer Martin; six sisters, Agnes, Ina, Hilda, Dorothy, June, and Evelyn. The family would like to thank the staff at the Fleur Heights Care Center for 13 years of wonderful care of our mother. We are also grateful to Iowa Hospice for their recent care and support.
