Memorial services for Hugh Cheshire Barker, 78, who died Friday, January 14, 2005 at Westview Care Center in Indianola, will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Hugh was born in Indianola and had been a resident of the area all his life. He especially loved to spend his time on his acreage south of town. He had worked for Railway Express delivery service along with other various jobs. He was a veteran of World War II and had served with the Army Paratroopers.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Richard (Katherine) Barker of El Cajon, CA, John (Geraldine) Barker of Indianola and Edwin (Ethel) Barker of Iowa City and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held one half hour prior to services on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Westview Care Center.
