Celebration of Life Services for Howard Wendel Parker, 91, who passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in Indianola, will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.  The family will greet friends prior to services from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.  Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Sandyville Cemetery.

Howard was born May 16, 1931 in Indianola, IA to Clarence Fremont and Bessie Cloe (Wendel) Parker.  Howard attended country school and started working on farms around Warren County shortly after.  He was united in marriage to Clara Kathryn Phillips on April 19, 1986.  She passed away on September 7, 1990 after just over 4 years of marriage.  Howard enjoyed mushroom and squirrel hunting, fishing and being outside.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; parents, one brother and six sisters.  He is survived by 17 nephews and their spouses and 16 nieces and their spouses as well as many cousins and friends.
