He was married for 62 years to Opal Lanora Walker Henry, who passed away July 14, 1999. He owned his dairy farm in Norwalk since 1943, and was a Farm Bureau member for over 50 years. He worked hard his whole life and was a good provider. Homer loved hunting, bowling and most of all his livestock and farming.

Homer is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Jennifer Henry of Norwalk; a daughter and son-in-law Sally and Ken Minor of Elizabeth City, NC; 10 grandchildren: Howard Henry, Michelle Henry, Elizabeth (Syoma) Kourlykova, Jessica Henry, Lincoln Henry, Abigail Henry, Brenda (Wayne) Nettles, Deborah (Jerome) Barnett, Scott Bush, Angela (Chris) Gray; and six great-grandchildren: Wryan Burks, Jennifer, Jerome Jr., Justine and Jessica Barnett, and Rebecca Gray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and five siblings.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 27 where family will be present to greet friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
