Memorial services for Helen L. Shannon, 79, who died Thursday, April 12, 2012, will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 17 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. There will be a private burial of cremains in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Helen is survived by sons, Frank (Jeannette) Shannon, Kevin Shannon and Sean (Brenda) Shannon; daughter, Kelly (Joe) Swift; five granddaughters; and spouses, Mary Feldman, Mildred Schelle and Kenny Baumhover. Preceding her in death were her husband, Patrick; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 16 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in Helen's name.
