A Celebration of Life Service for Harriet Anne Bingaman, 95, of Boone, who passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, Iowa.  The family will greet friends prior to services from noon to 1:30 p.m.  Inurnment of cremains will follow in the Indianola, I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Harriet was born in Fairfield Iowa in 1929 and later moved to Ottumwa where she graduated in 1947. At age 13 she met her future husband William and they married in 1947. She was a homemaker until 1966 when she took her first job. Later she would retire from EMC Insurance Co. after working there for 26 years.

Harriet enjoyed camping, cross-stitching, bowling and was active in the Red Hats and her church. But spending time with family was her favorite pastime.

Harriet is survived by her children, Patricia Lee, Randy Bingaman, Tim (Billie) Bingaman, Rick Bingaman and Todd (Alice) Bingaman; daughter-in-law, Kathie Bingaman; grandchildren, Sheri (Ron) Stephens, Echo (Dan) Dooley, Brian (Jennifer) Lee, Nikki (Troy) Barkhaus, Lee Emery, Jennifer (Don) Strange, Sami (Cory) Amos, Jeremy (Susan) Bingaman, Jessica Bingaman, Michael Bingaman, Jami (AJ) Sawyer,  Kelsi (Jamie) Matheny, Blake Bingaman, Allyssa (Ian) Greyfield and Brian Bingaman;  33 great-grandchildren and 11great-great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Eva Simmons, Husband William Bingaman, sister Barbara Woodard, son Mike Bingaman, son in law Chuck Lee, and great-great granddaughter MacKenzie Stephens.
