Services for Harold C. Norris, 89, who passed away, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at The Village in Indianola, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 21 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola of which he was a member. Burial with military rites will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery Curly had served in the United States Army 101st Air Bourne Division during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Edith Norris. Curly is survived by his children, Michael (Debbie) Norris of Colleyville, TX, Jim Norris of Indianola, Merrill (Marj) Norris of Clive, Debbie (Royce) Prickett of Waukee, and Becky (Mike) Wood of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren Visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, at Overton Funeral Home where family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name to the First United Methodist Church or the American Legion Post # 165.
