Funeral Services for Gwen Kuhn, 87, who passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 20 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Pleasantville Cemetery.

Gwendolyn Faye Kuhn was born the daughter of Walter and Hildred (Howard) Bivans.  She graduated from Beech High School in 1949.  She was united in marriage to Norman Eugene Kuhn on May 28, 1949 and to this union two daughters were born, Ronda and Cheryl.

She was a member of 4-H in High School, farm wife, homemaker, enjoyed bowling, mushroom hunting, playing cards, golf league at the Pleasantville Country Club, the Iowa State Fair and was a camper since 1949.  Gwen also enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and eating out almost every day but the highlight was meeting new people.

Gwen is survived by her daughters, Ronda Lyon and Cheryl (Jerry Keller) Kuhn; grandchildren, Bart (Suzy) Lyon, Cheri Lyon, Jennifer (Austin) Norris, Michael (Jessica) Buckley, Eric (Michelle Corum) Buckley and nine great grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Vermie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kuhn; son-in-law, Tom Lyon and sister, Olive Brown, brother, A.H. Vaughn.
