Memorial services for Guy Wright, 81, who died Friday, November 4, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 8, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Interment of the cremated remains will be private at a later date in the Belmont Cemetery, Milo. Memorials may be directed to Kiya Koda Human Society of Indianola.

Guy was the son of Harry and Lois (Milleson) Wright and was born on October 11, 1924 in Milo. He graduated from Milo High School and after graduation spent two years in the service. He later attended AIB and Drake University. His marriage to Marvel Morgan took place on June 20, 1948 in Milo.

Guy was a Computer Science teacher at AIB for over 21 years retiring in 1986. He was instrumental in establishing and active in Des Moines' first chapter of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA). In addition to his teaching and DPMA activities he also served as sponsor of the Phi Theta Pi fraternity chapter at AIB for 11 years. Guy especially loved being out doors on his 20 acre patch of land working the soil. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Guy is survived by his wife, Marvel Wright of Indianola; a sister, Olive Sones of Indianola and several nieces and nephews.

Immediately following the memorial service the family will gather with friends at Overton Funeral Home.
