Edna was born and raised near Hubbard, Iowa and moved to Stratford where she graduated.  She attended AIB College in Des Moines and was united in marriage on June 28, 1941 to Herschel Anderson.  They farmed near Stratford for 17 years before moving to Ames where she worked for Iowa State University.  She retired from the Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames as a secretary.  Edna had lived in Ames for 36 years before moving to The Village in Indianola in 1999.  She enjoyed and took pride in her family.

She is survived by her children, Wallace (Dorothy) Anderson of Boxford, MA, Cleone (Prince) Beall of Wichita, KS, Allan (Susan) Anderson of Winchester, MA, and Claire (Lynn) Henry of Indianola; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Lois Mantich of Maryland.  She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2008 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 4 – 7 p.m. to greet friends.  The family will also greet friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday before services as the church in Stratford.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Shepherd Fund at The Village.
