Gina embodied the spirit of hospitality by making her house warm, open and inviting. A wide circle of friends and unexpected guests alike could always find hot food, cold drinks and help when they needed it at the Duffy house. Gina was a wonderful cook and famous for her pumpkin bars and brownies. During the rare downtimes, Gina could be found curled up with a good book. Gina looked forward to family camping trips at Rathbun Lake with friends where they boated, feasted, and enjoyed each other's company around giant bonfires. Gina and her husband, Pat, also enjoyed vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with friends. Gina was a valued co-worker and friend at Creative Risk Solutions in Des Moines for many years. Her co-workers gave her support and encouragement through her difficult illness.
