GERTRUDE GOODRICH Indianola Services for Gertrude Goodrich, 104, who passed away, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November 22, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with visitation prior to services starting at Noon. Burial will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Gertrude was born August 24, 1909 in Streater, Illinois and grew up in Benson, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Ralph Goodrich. Gertrude moved to Iowa in 1945 and Indianola in 1957 where she was a homemaker and owned and operated Goodrich Café. Gertrude was very active with her family and her church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She always had an interested in current events, politics and world affairs. Survivors include her children, Don Goodrich, Lyle (Monica), Bob (Sue), Dewey (Sheryl) Goodrich and Cheryl Dee; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, daughter Wilma Conard, grandsons Chuck Conard and Brad Goodrich, daughter-in-law Darlene Goodrich, son-in-law Mike Dee, two brothers and three sister.
