A Celebration of Life gathering for Gerrie Prickett, 68, who died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola where family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Leland; children, Troy Prickett and partner John Chipoletti of San Francisco, CA, Tammi (Larry) Perry of Indianola and Teresa (Travis) Young of West Des Moines; siblings, John (Kathy) Monroe of Indianola, Ginny (John) Lehmkuhl of Mountain View, MO and Chris (Char) Monroe of San Diego, CA; and grandchildren, Justin and Kendra Perry and Casey, Kelsea and Courtney Young.

Gerrie never met a person that she didn't touch. She was a familiar site at many sporting events watching her grandchildren and also supporting their many friends that she grew to know and love as a grandma figure.
