Geraldine "Jerri" Swanberg passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Windsor Manor in Indianola. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 21 at the Linn Grove United Methodist Church in Prole, IA. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow services and inurnment will take place at a later date in the Linn Grove Cemetery.
Jerri worked as a dedicated bookkeeper at Hamco Walker Paper and her husband's business Ace Millright, where she was known not only for her strong work ethic but also for her kindness and warm spirit.
She found great joy in life's simple pleasures. Christmas was her favorite holiday, a season she filled with warmth, generosity, and love for her family and friends. She was especially known for her famous potato salad, a cherished staple at family gatherings. Jerri also loved to dance, especially with her beloved husband, Bob, sharing moments that reflected their deep and enduring love.
Jerri had a heart of gold and was truly selfless, always putting others before herself. She was a best friend to many, a faithful and compassionate listener, and someone who made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her presence brought comfort, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Jerri's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to others will be deeply missed and forever remembered. The family would also like to thank Suncrest Hospice for unwavering compassion and support.
She is survived by her children, Kim Hill (John), Michael Swanberg (Mary Jane), seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Swanberg; parents, Charlie and Melvina Kisting; brothers, Larry and Terry Kisting
Memorial Contributions can be made to Linn Grove United Methodist Church in Prole or Windsor Manor in Indianola.
