Memorial services for Geraldine Middleswart, 96, who died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa, will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial of cremains will be in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jerry was born in Truro, Iowa on February 25, 1912 and united in marriage with James I. Middleswart on June 10, 1936.  They farmed near Indianola until retiring in 1990.  She was a homemaker, teacher, legislative secretary, volunteer for numerous organizations including her church, 4-H, Farm Bureau, Country Couples, and Meals-On-Wheels.  She was a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church for over 60 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Geyer of Wheaton, IL and Irene (Roger) Case of Indianola; one son, LaVerne (Pat) Middleswart of Dike; 2 granddaughters, Laura (Brian) Mehlhaus and Jana Middleswart; 2 great granddaughters, Erica and Katelyn Mehlhaus.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James I.; sister, Alice Bishop; twin brother, George and brother, Ben Denly.

Visitation will be held 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends.  Memorials may be made to the Center Chapel Methodist Church.
