GERALD SCHIMMELPFENNIG Indianola Gerald LeRoy Schimmelpfennig passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was the son of Orland and Gladys (Davisson) born on May 9, 1940. Gerald came to Indianola as an associate pastor in 1973 at the Indianola First United Methodist Church. He later worked for the Indianola Community School District until his retirement. Survivors include his loving companion, Judy McClymond and her children, Tracey (Jim) McClemons and Trevor McClymond; a daughter, Shanan (Dong Hyun) Kim and grandson, Jae of South Korea; sister, Mary (Ed) Kenney of Jamaica, IA; and nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time. Private burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
