Mr. Lucas was born in New Virginia, Iowa and was the plant supervisor at VyLactos Laboratories. He was one of the original members of the Norwalk Fire Department, serving as secretary for many years.

Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, Mildred of Indianola; daughters, Louise (Junior) Lane of Indianola and Carrol (Paul L.) Cameron of Milo; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild and 7 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Delores Geraldine Lucas; 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 24 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be designated to the Norwalk Fire and Rescue.
